I just wanted to give everyone reading this blog a heads up on our wedding plans. We’ve definitely had a few hiccups along the way, but we’re very excited as weather plans for the 6th look sunny and slightly overcast with a gentle breeze blowing. Maren is going to look absolutely gorgeous in her dress that her friend Melissa is creating for her. We are both getting pretty nervous about the whole thing, but we’re excited and anxious, and ready for it to be here!
So, yeah, I’m totally still learning how to do this blog thing. But I just wanted to let everyone know how wonderful Nate is. He has been incredibly patient with me as we’ve been cramming a lot of wedding planning (which is not his favorite pastime by any stretch of the imagination) into not a whole lot of time. He’s spent hours and hours building this beautiful, custom-designed website to match our invitations, with nary a complaint. And he has just been so good to me, even when I have shown signs of becoming Bridezilla (who, me?) on occasion. I just can’t believe how lucky I am to be marrying this man!!!
I just wanted to make a quick note about the invitations. Maren has been involved in the wedding industry for years, working as a floral designer, photographer, and most recently, an invitation designer. I knew that when we got together our invitations would have to be something immaculate—something that symbolized her passion and love for creating beautiful things—to celebrate our marriage. I can absolutely guarantee that her attention and care to every little detail on our invitations is parallel to her commitment to our relationship, and for that I am truly grateful.
(P.S. – It’s fun that Maren is still learning how to use this site, it gives me the chance to be all cheesy and sentimental until I have to settle down and get serious before the wedding
Here’s the photo we’re going to use for our invitations. We did a few dozen shots, and we both had some opinions about some of the other ones so we might get those up soon. Our photographer, Duston Todd, did a great job and will be around for the wedding as well, so we look forward to more great photos.
Yep – after a VERY long wait, we finally can set a date for the wedding. Maren and I will be married on May 6th in the Draper Temple. I know this blog is very scarce, Maren and I haven’t had a whole lot of time to get things together, but I’ll try and keep everyone updated as we move forward with our plans.
